New Membership Policies

These new policies are effective April 24, 2012.
Procedure for people with no sponsor
1. Must pre-register and have all forms and any other requested information submitted to Membership Chairperson no later than 7 days prior to General Meeting.
2. Must attend a General Meeting, and then an Executive Meeting to petition the Executive Committee for membership.
3. All memberships are contingent on the decisions of the Executive Committee.
4. After the Executive Meeting you will be sent an email of the Boards decision by the Membership Chairperson.
5. After approval has been done then new members will be added to next available new member orientation meeting
Procedure for people with Sponsors

2. The list of sponsored applicants will be reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee each month.
3. All memberships are contingent on the decisions of the Executive Committee.
Sponsor Duties
1. Must be a member of SCCS&FA for at least one calendar year (12 months).
2. Can only sponsor one adult or family per month.
3. Must attend the new member orientation with the new member they are sponsoring (No exceptions).
4. Must appear before the board if a member they sponsored violates any rules in the first calendar year (12 months).
New Members
1. Are considered probationary members for one calendar year (12 months).
2. Cannot bring a guest for the first calendar year (12 months).
3. Cannot sponsor anyone for the first calendar year (12 months).

Pro-rated Membership Costs

We've added a new chart to the Membership page detailing how membership costs are pro-rated, depending on which month of the year a new member joins SCCSFA.
Member Address Update Request

If you have moved in the past 12 months please send an email to membership@sccsfa.org with:
• Your name as it appears on your membership card
• Membership card number
• Your current address
• Your current telephone number
Also, please let us know if you want to change your membership type. For example, going from Adult to Family, or Adult to Senior.
If you did not move or don't need to change your membership type, you do not need to send me an email.
Membership renewal notices will be sent via US Mail to the address we have on file for you in the beginning of September.

Important Clarification About Membership Renewals

To all current members:
If you currently possess an orange membership card, your membership expires on September 30.
If you currently possess an orange membership card your membership does not expire June 30.
The previous announcement about membership renewals was for people who had not already renewed by the end of 2010.
Renewal notices will be mailed out around the first week of September.
Please wait until you receive your renewal form before sending in your payment.

Passing of William R. Law

It is with great sadness that we deliver the news of the passing of one of our own.
William R. Law passed away late Monday night Feb. 21st at Jennersville Hospital. Bill had served our organization honorably for many decades as Treasurer, Safety Officer, President & at times Secretary as well as many years as a Director at large. Bill has been a pivotal figure in the shaping of the organization over the years and will be surely missed.
Board of Directors Elections

SCCSFA will be holding its elections for the open slots on the Board of Directors at the December monthly membership meeting, 12/28/10 at 8:00 PM. If you want a say in how the club is run, come out and vote.

Membership Reneweals Due 9/30/10

Reminder: SCCSFA membership renewals are due tomorrow, 9/30/10.
If your renewal form, check and proof of NRA membership haven't been received by our Membership Director by tomorrow, your key card will no longer work as of Friday, 10/1/10. No one may use SCCSFA facilities without either a valid membership or guest pass.
