We are starting the process by searching from within our membership. If you own or are involved with a professional company who specializes in or part of your operation is in commercial restroom facilities remodeling & refitting, we would like to have your company submit a proposal/bid for both the ladies & men’s clubhouse restroom facilities. Deadline for contact and or submissions is March 26th.

New Shooting Benches - Help Needed
December 15,2010 18:59
SCCS&FA IS BUILDING NEW SHOOTING BENCHES. A prototype sample has been placed in the clubhouse & the project has been approved by the Executive Committee & membership at that meeting.
We need volunteers for:
Weld the steel parts using their welder in their own shop.
Drill 1/2” holes in the rear legs using a drill press.
Fabricate the wood seat.
You would have about 3 months to complete your part of the project.
Once the weather warms up next year then we will get together again & fabricate concrete forms for casting the concrete tops.
We are looking toward a final installation of the new benches around May or June of 2011.
If you are interested & have the ability to assist, please contact the club's Vice President, Dave Hutchins: vice-pres@sccsfa.org

Updated Range Rules
August 02,2010 09:07
Please go to the Range Rules page and download the most up-to-date Range Rules booklet, revised July 2010. We also have a downloadable calendar with range hours on that page.
Note that at the July 2010 General Meeting, the rules for the 15, 25, 50, 75, and 100 yard ranges were updated to require the use of a chamber flag on all benched, uncased firearms which are not currently being fired. Insert the chamber flag into the chamber of any firearm that is uncased and resting on the bench, whether or not the action of the firearm can be locked open. This makes it easier for your fellow shooters to verify that benched firearms are in a safe condition.
Commercially manufactured chamber flags may purchased from Brownell's or MidwayUSA, among other vendors (the products linked are examples). Also, you can make your own chamber flag from a piece of Weed Whacker string and a piece of duct tape. A limited number of chamber flags have been placed on the rifle and pistol ranges for your use. Please do not take them away from the club.

Storm Damage 7/25/2010
July 26,2010 09:08
The club suffered some storm damage on July 25, 2010.
Several of trees are down and some of the gravel is eroded due to heavy water runoff.
The club's website is now being hosted offsite temporarily. The web and mail server was knocked offline. We are still investigating as to whether it just needs to be rebooted or was destroyed. This prevented the newsletter from being emailed out but you can view it on the Newsletter page of this site.
We will post further updates as we determine the extent of the damage.
